Womens E News. The definitive source of substantive news about issues of concern 
                to women; provides women's perspectives on public policy. Funded 
                by Rockefeller,  
                Barbara Lee and Helena Rubenstein 
                Foundations among others, its editors seek freelance writers from 
                around the world to write 800 word articles on politics, religion, 
                economics, health, science, education, sports, and legislation. 
                The stories are distributed daily to subscribers and posted the 
                Web site. An Arabic edition was launched in 2003.

              call-in show hosted by Jean Feraca, was conceived to promote understanding 
              in the world. Its twice- a-week programs focus on the best world 
              literature, movies, arts, food, and culture–topics as diverse 
              as democracy building in Afghanistan, the pursuit of  
              happiness by Buddhist monks, the International Slow Food Movement 
              and South Asian rock bands. People all over the world can participate.
